The company's car manufacturing journey post World War II began with the introduction of the Mitsubishi 500 in 1960.
As a compact family car, it was the first passenger car to be mass-produced by Mitsubishi after the war.
Even before the Mitsubishi 500,
the company had made significant contributions to the automotive industry. In 1917, Mitsubishi developed the Model-A, which was designed as a luxury vehicle for government officials. This milestone marked the first mass-production car in Japanese history.
